SAMBAA Management Team consists of experienced professionals who bring strong leadership and wide-ranging expertise to SAMBAA. The current Management Team includes Ketan Shah, Sangeeta Chakraborty, and Haresh Kaneriya.
Ketan Shah, President and Co-founder
Ketan Shah is the President and co-founder of South Asian MBA Association (SAMBAA), a global network of MBAs with interests in South Asia. Ketan is a Sourcing and Supply Chain executive working for LifeScan, a Medical Device company in Bay Area. Ketan has held numerous leadership positions for both corporate and the non-profit world. At LifeScan, Ketan founded SAPNA (South Asian Professional and Network Association) chapter, a Johnson & Johnson, employee resource group. He is currently the chairperson and has been in instrumental in developing several key strategic initiatives as it relates to its membership and business. In addition, he also serves as a Board of Director for the Johnson & Johnson corporate SAPNA chapter. Ketan has also chaired fund raising committes for the Diabetes Society in San Jose for number of years.
Prior to LifeScan, Ketan has held numerous positions at Cygnus, a transdermal drug delivery company and has been a consultant for State of California Dept of Health Services. Ketan has also been a founder and President of a networking company, SuperSOHONIC Systems that developed a unique network interface card for the Small office/Home Office.
Sangeeta Chakraborty is Founder and Chair of the WLN (Women Leadership Network) within SAMBAA. Sangeeta currently serves as Vice President of Professional Services at Digital Fuel Technologies, the leader in Business Service Management software headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area with operations in Chicago, London, UK and Israel. Prior to Digital Fuel, Sangeeta was a Senior Director at InQuira, managing Global Services Operations. She has also held professional services management positions at Interwoven and senior consultant roles at Vitria Technology, Fujitsu Consulting and Tata Consultancy Services. In addition, Sangeeta mentors and provides career counseling and coaching to women managers and business professionals with a particular focus on women of South Asia.
Sangeeta has an M.B.A. degree from University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology (formerly REC), Warangal, India. She resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Haresh is currently working as a Corporate Account Director with Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. He is responsible for the largest five National Insurance Accounts for the Medicare business of Johnson & Johnson. Throughout his distinguished career in Finance and Sales Management at Johnson & Johnson Haresh has received several Leadership Awards for his contribution to diversity and business development, including the 2006 Account Director of the Year Award, External Stakeholder Award – The Global Diversity and Inclusion Award, 2007, and the Global Standard of Leadership for customer focus and Innovation, 2007. Haresh is a founding member of the Johnson & Johnson Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP).
Since 1999, Haresh has served as a liaison for Johnson & Johnson to AAPI (American Association of Physicians of India Origin, USA), and in 2007 he was appointed as the First Honorary Health Industry Advisor to AAPI. He is a recipient of various AAPI awards for outstanding work to promote diversity and community service. Haresh was instrumental in organizing and facilitating the First Indo-US Healthcare Summit in New Delhi in December 2007 and was member of a delegation that briefed Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on the initiative.
